and Women’s Health
WHS Care Center for Family Birth and Women’s Health is offering FREE online learning modules on childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, and newborn care including lots of videos. Based on the recommendations from the CDC and DOH, we are taking every precaution to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, and have postponed all in-person prenatal classes until further notice.
You can access the same Newborn Channel programs offered at the WHS CARE Center for Family Birth and Women’s Health by clicking the button below. Use passcode 02915.
You can also utilize the interactive website adaptation of the Ready, Set, Baby curriculum. This website allows expectant parents to prepare for their breastfeeding journey. The website was developed with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Here’s what you can expect from a labor and delivery experience at our birthing center:
During prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care, our birthing center is your home away from home, and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. That’s why we designed the CARE Center for Family Birth and Women’s Health with input from people who understand your needs: new mothers and the providers who care for them.
Support from family members is a key part of welcoming a new baby into the world, so we’ve made it simple and convenient for the important people in your life to be there for you.
- In the family lounge, family members can relax, chat and catch up on emails and text messages. Children are sure to be enchanted by our colorful virtual fish tank and play area.
- Snack and beverage machines are available in the family lounge.
Our spacious, modern postpartum and recovery rooms are bright, homey, and include a variety of features to maximize comfort, including:

The health and safety of you and your baby are paramount from the moment you arrive at the CARE Center for Family Birth and Women’s Health to the moment you and your little one leave to go home. That’s why skilled providers are never more than a few steps away—two centralized nursing stations ensure our nurses can attend to your needs quickly and easily.
Whether you have a high-risk pregnancy or a routine one, a member of our neonatal resuscitation team will be present when you give birth, in case your baby needs immediate medical intervention. If your baby needs extra care after birth, the staff in our birthing center’s Level 2 special care nursery is always ready to provide around-the-clock medical attention.
