Requirements for Residency Program

To apply to Washington Health System Family Medicine Residency Program you must:

  • Applicants can be no more than 2 years post graduate
  • Have passing board scores USMLE or COMLEX 1, 2, and CS with 3 or less attempts
  • Complete your application with the Association of American Medical Colleges
  • Forward your application to Washington Health System electronically thru ERAS

The Association of American Medical Colleges' Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS)

(At this time Washington Health System Family Medicine Residency Program is not able to sponsor applicants in need of H1-B visas.)

To apply to Washington Health System Family Medicine Residency Program you must:

  • Applicants can be no more than 2 years post graduate
  • Have passing board scores USMLE 1, 2, and CS with 3 or less attempts
  • Complete your application with the Association of American Medical Colleges
  • Forward your application to Washington Health System electronically through ERAS
  • Have six months U.S. clinical experience in a university or hospital residency, not an observership
  • We can employ those with a J-1 Visa

Interviews

Interviews are arranged by appointment. The day's activities include:

  • breakfast with faculty and resident
  • tour of the Family Medicine Center, hospital, and housing

The day concludes with a private discussion with the director. Overnight accommodations are provided at the hospital's expense.

Requirements for Fellowship Programs

To apply to Washington Health System Fellowship Programs you must:

  • See the AAFP web site list of primary specialties
  • Complete your application with the Association of American Medical Colleges
  • Forward your application to Washington Health System electronically thru ERAS The Association of American Medical Colleges' Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS)
  • The day's activities include: interview with the fellowship’s Program Director and Residency Director.  A Resident, Fellow or Palliative Mid-level provider tour of the Outpatient Clinic, Hospice House, hospital, and housing (if available). Overnight accommodations are provided at the hospital's expense. The day ends with a wrap-up session with the Fellowship Director.
