Dr. Mike Zanic is a family medicine physician who divides his time through clinical and academic services at UPMC Washington.  He is a provider at the Canonsburg Family Practice Outpatient Center on South Central Avenue in Canonsburg.  He has been a member of this practice since he entered the hospital system in 2014.

Dr. Zanic grew up in the South Hills of Pittsburgh but spent a lot of his time growing up with family in the Canonsburg area.  He completed his undergraduate education at Juniata College in Central Pennsylvania before enrolling at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He then joined Washington in 2014 for his residency training and then upon graduation in 2017, remained part of the clinical team as well as the family medicine residency program.

As part of the family medicine residency, he serves as a Clinical Instructor, Director of Osteopathic Medicine, and helping with many of the specialty clinics including sports medicine with local high scools and Washington & Jefferson college, medication assisted therapy, and osteopathic medicine. He also volunteers with the Washington City Mission, a Spanish language volunteer clinic, and a medical mission group to Puerto Rico through the Order of Malta.

In his free time Dr. Zanic enjoys spending time with his friends and family whom many still reside in the Pittsburgh area.  He is also watching more than his share of Pittsburgh sports and playing in a recreational soccer league.  He is supported at home strongly by his wife Lauren and his Aussiedoodle Sidney.
