Dr. Ryan Lerch is a foot and ankle specialist with our WHS Center for Orthopedic Excellence, foot and ankle practice.

Dr. Lerch recently completed his fellowship at The Reconstructive Institute at Bellevue Hospital in Bellevue, Ohio. Prior to his fellowship, he completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Mercy in 2022 and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Midwestern University – Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr Lerch has graduated with honors both from his undergraduate work at Colorado State University-Pueblo as well as graduated valedictorian from medical school.

Although Dr. Lerch has several professional honors and awards he prides himself on helping others within the community. He has held leadership roles in various committees and organizations throughout his youth and professional career. He was appointed and served on UPMC Mercy’s Senior Academic Leadership Committee and has lectured on various aspects of foot and ankle surgery. Currently, Dr. Lerch has 4 research papers accepted into publication and continues to push for more when it comes to foot and ankle surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Lerch spends as much time as he can outdoors. He and his fiancé have two lovely dogs that absolutely cherish being in the woods. He loves hiking, biking, backpacking, camping, golfing, snowboarding, and woodworking. With the help of his brother, he has also built his own cabin on Mount Trinchera in Colorado.
