Pieramici, Sean, MD

Sean Pieramici, M.D. earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2000, and than completed his Ophthalmology residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2004. Dr. Pieramici was invited back the next year to serve as Chief Resident in 2005 at Emory University. In 2006, Dr. Pieramici completed his Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Pieramici joined Southwestern Pennsylvania Eye Center in 2010, after practicing ophthalmology in Palm Springs, California for four years. Dr. Pieramici specializes in the treatment of corneal diseases as well as refractive surgery. Dr. Pieramici performs cataract and corneal surgeries including corneal transplantation, as well as laser vision correction surgery. He has published in book chapters and peer reviewed journals, and was a clinical investigator in a LASIK FDA study. Dr. Pieramici resides in Washington County with his wife Rebecca and his two children, Harlow and Hudson.
