
Peterson, Bridget K., MD
A Pittsburgh native, Dr. Peterson completed her medical school and residency training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia with a strong focus on care for underserved populations, including refugees and unhoused people. Following residency, she joined the National Health Service Corps and practiced on the Tohono O’Odham Nation reservation in southwestern Arizona. She joined the residency faculty at UPMC Washington in 2017 and completed a Faculty Development Fellowship at UPMC St. Margaret in 2021. Her main clinical interests are dermatology and procedures, mental health, treatment of substance use disorders, and community medicine. Dr. Peterson lives in the South Hills with her husband and enjoys gardening, crafting, and visiting national parks.
