Dr. Abigail “Abby” Palmer is a board-certified family medicine physician with specialized training in surgical obstetrics. A proud Pittsburgh native, she earned both her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and Master of Science in Medical Education (MSMEd) from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she developed a strong foundation in holistic care and clinical teaching.
She completed her residency in Family Medicine at UPMC Shadyside, followed by a fellowship in Surgical Obstetrics through UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. This advanced training allows Dr. Palmer to provide comprehensive care for women throughout pregnancy, including high-risk deliveries and advanced obstetrical procedures.
Known for her compassionate approach and commitment to patient education, Dr. Palmer is passionate about empowering individuals and mentoring future physicians. She blends clinical excellence with warmth, precision, and a deep dedication to community health.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Palmer enjoys life with her husband Travis and their two beloved dogs, Cami and Leo. Whether exploring Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods or relaxing at home, she values balance, connection, and the joy of everyday moments.
