Ismael, Ziad, MD

Dr. Ismael joined the WHS Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery practice in October 2019 – bringing with him over 10 years of experience as a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care physician.  After completing medical school and an Internal Medicine residency at Damascus University School of Medicine in Syria, Dr. Ismael completed a second Internal Medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside Hospital in 2002 and his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at The University of New Mexico in 2009.  Outside of work, Dr. Ismael enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with his wife, Rachel, and their son.
