Darcy Billisits Giger, D.O. is a physician at Washington Health System Family Medicine Center – Cecil.

Dr. Giger completed her residency in Family Medicine at Shadyside Hospital Family Practice Residency in 1996. She earned her medical degree as a Doctor of Osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1993.

Following the completion of her residency in 1996, she served as Medical Director of Chatham College Student Health Services. At the same time, she was also faculty for Shadyside Hospital Family Practice Residency.

In 1996, Dr. Giger also cofounded and worked as the Medical Director of the East End Community Health Center of Shadyside Hospital. In this role, she provided medical care in an inner-city health center in an underserved area of Pittsburgh. She worked to establish relationships with other community agencies, provided adult, pediatric, women’s health, and prenatal care.

Dr. Giger established a private practice in 1999, which eventually was transitioned to UPMC. She also served as a physician at several practices until she joined Allegheny Health Network as a Hospitalist in 2019.

Most recently, Dr. Giger served as a clinical instructor for Washington Hospital Family Medicine Residency. She will continue teaching in the residency program while she sees patients at WHS Family Medicine.
