Women’s Center

Washington Health System Women’s Center offers the latest, 3D mammography, digital mammography, ultrasound, breast biopsy, and DXA bone densitometry diagnostic services. All mammograms at the Washington Health System Women’s Center services are performed by technologists who are certified by the American Academy of Radiology Technologists and who have additional certification in mammography. The WHS Women’s Center Center is staffed with Fellowship-Trained Women’s Imagers. These radiologists have extensive training specific to Women’s Imaging and mammography.

Breast cancer will affect an average of one in eight women sometime in their lifetime. It is the second most common cause of cancer-related deaths in women. Numerous studies prove that early detection is a vital component in the successful treatment of breast cancer. At the Washington Health System Women’s Center, our goal is to increase the utilization of screening mammography–a goal in keeping with disease prevention and healthcare maintenance.
