Otero, Christian , MD

Christian Otero, MD, received his medical degree at Escuela Colombiana de Medicina, Universidad El Bosque in Bogotá, Colombia. Following this, he completed a residency in general surgery at the Ohio State University School of Medicine and fellowships in pediatric surgery and surgical critical care at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Otero then completed residencies in general and thoracic surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Most recently, he completed an advanced minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellowship at UPMC.
Dr. Otero is board-certified in thoracic surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Otero has served as a writer on various research publications and has given presentations at national conferences, including the Annual Critical Care Congress Meeting. His research spans topics relating to minimally invasive thoracic surgery and traumatic vascular injuries.
